S H O W S
back to SHOW DIARIES
A little word of advice: If your band is playing in a city where nobody has heard of you,
try to not be the only band on the bill. And if it's a city whose night life is notorious
for never getting underway before 1am, try to not hit the stage at 10:30.
That being said, it was a great trip. The club owner and sound guy were great, and the
bartender recommended some excellent local brew.
A few locals came out, but they were mostlypeople that we already knew. (Thanks to Boo,
Michelle and Richard!)
Also, we brought along a couple of vans full of our die-hard Toronto fans to pad the numbers
a little. Plus we got paid a pretty decent amount. Enough to cover the gas money for
the band van, at least. Which left more for Poutine and MacAuslan Abricot
at Mondo Fritz.
Next day, we hit up the goth shops where I completely failed to buy a really cool over-the-top
pair of leather pants with buckles all over them. Being poor sucks. But Montreal rules.
