S H O W S  back to SHOW DIARIES Red Square - St. Catharines Happy 139th Birthday, Canada! Here's a Timbit with a candle in it! Red Square is a really cool little club in the basement of what used to be a ritzy hotel. Due to the basementiosity of the place, it has a rather low ceiling. Add a stage to that and you've got a concussion just waiting to happen. Luckily, I only whacked my head off the ceiling once during the whole show. I find that a wide-legged, Hetfield-like stance helps to avoid any unpleasantness. But that was the only negative thing about the whole night, really. Fester was in a beer-tickety mood, so that made us happy. And the crowd, although small, were very appreciative. So that made us even happier. Also, Daniel -X was undergoing his pre-birthday celebrations. Add to that the fact that it was Canada Day and you've got some serious revelry. And you know what revelry means: You get to yell "HUZZAH!" I would therefore like to present a big "HUZZAH!" to the good people of St. Catharines. HUZZAH! |
